About David Lee Morgan, Jr.

David Lee was a television reporter and sports writer for more than 30 years and is now a high school English teacher and public speaker.

He is the author of 17 books, including The LeBron Phenomenon: My Front-Row Seat to History, More Than a Coach: What It Means to Play for Jim Tressel, and LeBron James: The Rise of a Star. David Lee also authored the eight-book children's series Black Trailblazers in Sports (2024).

David Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University in Professional Writing and Editing with a minor in Journalism.

He earned a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.

David Lee also received an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters from Youngstown State University in 2022, where he served as the Fall Commencement speaker.
