Released on April 23, 2026 and quickly became Amazon’s “#1 New Release in Professional Basketball.” The book offers a firsthand account of my experience covering LeBron James throughout his high school career at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School. Not your traditional biography, it’s a behind-the-scenes look!

These fascinating biographies explore remarkable Black athletes whose talent and character paved the way for future generations. Each book focuses on an athlete’s life, career, struggles against discrimination, and work for social justice.

This book is about my season as the varsity running backs coach at one of the most successful high school football programs in the country- Massillon (OH) Washington High School. The book chronicles our run to the state championship game and includes behind-the-scenes stories from the 2019 season.

I covered LeBron's basketball career for the Akron Beacon Journal from 6th grade to his rise into the NBA. This was the first biography written about LeBron. In 2005, the book was selected by the American Library Association as one of the year's best books for Reluctant Young Adult Readers.

I was a sophomore at Youngstown State University when Jim Tressel became the head football coach. He later became the head coach at Ohio State and won a national championship there. He's been a friend and mentor of mine for more than 30 years. The stories in this book from former YSU and OSU greats are inspirational.

During my years as a sportswriter, I covered all levels of sports- high school, college, and professional. The most satisfying stories were those I wrote about high school student-athletes. This book is a compilation of award-winning stories I wrote about extraordinary student-athletes, including LeBron James.

While LeBron was with Cleveland (the first time), he needed help trying to win an NBA title. The Cavaliers went out and signed Shaquille O'Neal to the roster. This book details Cleveland's 2010 NBA season, as LeBron, Shaq, Mo Williams, Delonte West, and the rest of the Cavaliers, battled for a championship season.
